Thinking Love, No Twaddle

First Post

This is my first post. Here I hope to keep a kind of curriculum journal of homeschooling my children using the Charlotte Mason method. She insisted that mother’s owed a “thinking love” to their children: that is not a sentimental affection, but a real love, agape if you like, that offers the best for the growth and development of the person of the child.

She was a woman who dispised what she saw as so much “twaddle” in modern education, wanting  a more rounded approach and making sure the children in her care got this.

This is what I am set on offering my children.

I was wondering what Twaddle was. Is it “nonsense”, “guff”, “malarkey”, or that sort of thing? Eh wot?
